Decorating

We've been in our condo for about four months now and over the months have slowly been adding little homely touches. Our newest and most exciting addition are our beautiful couches! These were Alex and my Christmas gift to each other and we have fallen in love with them. They fit and match beautifully in our living room, and Alex loves that he can actually lay down on the sofa without his legs hanging over the end. I have to admit, there are few things as special as building a home with the person you love! Here are some photos of the updates along with our first Christmas tree and decorations. Enjoy!

Changing of the seasons

It's been quite awhile since I posted last. A lot has changed over the past months, most noticeable the weather here in Maryland. In Florida, we had summer and "cold snaps", but here in Baltimore we were able to enjoy summer, fall and now winter. Here are some photos of our back yard during the transition. We've had a couple days with snow flurries but no heavy snow falls yet. We'll keep you posted!

Local Hangout feels like Florida!

Alex, and our neighbor/buddy Patty, introduced me to the local hangout last night and I'm thinking that I love it! There's a bar, large screen tv's, and pool tables. But I think the best part is the sand and palm trees overlooking Marley Creek. I think we may have found a bit of home!

Condo Updates

Here are a couple of our newest additions... We're still debating on the new family room curtains. They definitely lighten up the space, but we're still not sold on them. Let us know what you think!

One Month!

We've been married one month today and married life if fabulous! I'm not working yet so I've been able to work on the condo and cultivate some new skills such as cooking. Both Alex and I were a bit skeptical of my culinary skills but it turns out that I'm actually quite talented in the kitchen... who knew?! For our one month-a-versary, Alex brought home flowers and I surprised him with a yummy candle lit pork chop dinner. It was wonderful :)

As many of you know, we've recently moved from Miami, Florida to a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. We've begun settling into a cozy condo and I think it's going to be great! Here are a couple pictures of our home in the making... Hopefully we'll be rid of the boxes soon!
